Dr. Alvin So is a skilled and versatile radiologist who completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Melbourne. His radiology training, which took place in both Sydney and Hobart, provided him with valuable experience across diverse patient demographics. He further enhanced his expertise through subspecialty fellowships in breast and abdominal imaging, MRI, and nuclear medicine/PET at Monash Health and St Vincent’s Hospital. Dr. So continues to hold a consultant position at St Vincent’s Hospital, where he is also actively involved in training the next generation of radiologists.
With a strong focus on collaboration, Dr. So is dedicated to working closely with referring clinicians to achieve the best possible health outcomes for patients. He is highly regarded for his gentle and compassionate bedside manner, ensuring that patients feel cared for and at ease.
In his personal life, Dr. So enjoys traveling and exploring new cultures with his young family, and is an avid runner who makes time for weekly jogs.
