Dr. Matthew Carmichael
BMBS BSc FRANZCR
Dr Carmichael completed his medical degree at Flinders University in Adelaide before undertaking specialist radiology training at St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne. Following his training, Mathew moved to Darwin, where he spent four years working across both public and private sectors, including at the Royal Darwin Hospital. During this time, he gained extensive experience in diagnostic and interventional radiology, managing a diverse and complex caseload.
In 2024, Dr Carmichael returned to Melbourne, where he joined Vision Radiology as a radiologist partner whilst maintaining a part-time consultant position at St Vincent’s Hospital. As a general radiologist with a subspecialty interest in musculoskeletal imaging, intervention and neuroradiology he has a strong focus on delivering high-quality patient care.
Outside of work, Dr Carmichael enjoys football, tennis, and golf. As a passionate St Kilda supporter, he eagerly hopes to see the team break its premiership drought in 2025. Life is always busy with two active boys who keep him on his toes
